An Unwanted Call in Class.mp3

Well, this happened about a month ago when I was in the classroom at Well Education Center, where I work as an IT teacher. I was right in the middle of introducing a new topic to my students, and my phone suddenly started buzzing. I hesitated for a moment. Out of curiosity, I decided to answer the call, thinking it might be urgent.

To my surprise, it was a salesperson from Uzum Market. He was enthusiastically promoting some household products, mentioning discounts and special offers. At first, I tried to be polite and listened to him, but as he kept going on about kitchenware and cleaning tools, I realized nothing he was offering was remotely useful to me. I mean, I’m single, and I don’t spend much time dealing with household chores—it’s just not my priority.

I told him as calmly as I could that I wasn’t interested. But he kept pushing, introducing new products one after another, almost like he was reading a script. I could feel my patience wearing thin. My students were watching me, probably wondering why I was on the phone, and I could sense their curiosity growing.

I was genuinely annoyed. I mean, the whole situation felt awkward—I was supposed to be teaching, yet there I was, stuck on this unnecessary call. But I managed to stay composed. Instead of raising my voice or snapping at the caller, I firmly repeated that I wasn’t interested and asked him not to waste my time. Eventually, he gave up and ended the call.

Afterwards, I felt both relieved and slightly frustrated. The experience left me feeling uncomfortable, not only because it disrupted my class but also because I felt a bit embarrassed in front of my students. It taught me, though, the importance of staying calm in such situations, especially when others are watching.

Classroom Call Chaos.mp3

Well, this incident occurred about a month ago while I was in the classroom at Well Education Center, where I work as an IT teacher. I was in the middle of explaining a new topic to my students when, all of a sudden, my phone started vibrating. Initially, I hesitated to pick it up, but out of curiosity—and thinking it might be urgent—I decided to answer.

To my surprise, it turned out to be a salesperson from Uzum Market. He was enthusiastically promoting a range of household products, highlighting discounts and exclusive offers. At first, I tried to be polite, listening to his pitch out of courtesy. However, as he went on and on, listing kitchenware and cleaning supplies, it became clear that none of the items were relevant to me. I mean, I live alone, and managing household chores isn’t exactly my top priority.

I calmly informed him that I wasn’t interested, but he seemed determined to continue, almost as if he were reading from a never-ending script. Meanwhile, I could feel my patience running thin, especially with my students observing me closely. They were probably wondering why I was taking a personal call during class. The whole situation felt a bit awkward and unprofessional.

Despite my growing irritation, I managed to maintain my composure. I firmly but politely repeated that I wasn’t interested and requested that he not waste my time. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he conceded and ended the c all.

Afterwards, I felt a mix of relief and embarrassment. The interruption not only disrupted the flow of my lesson but also left me feeling slightly self-conscious in front of my students. On reflection, though, it was a valuable reminder of the importance of staying calm and composed, especially in situations where others are watching.
